Judge Biographies

Anita DugganMrs Anita Duggan (Ireland)

I went to my first dog show when I was 6 weeks old and the rest as they say is history. I got bitten by the show bug and started showing some of my mother’s Shih Tzus under the Leorient affix.

In the 80’s we got our first Siberian husky. We have been very fortunate to have owned, bred and campaigned the top Siberian husky in Ireland for many years.  Our small kennels of dogs are record breakers within the breed in Ireland. We have bred the youngest ever Irish Champion in the breed as well as the most winning Siberian husky ever in Ireland. We have since gotten our first Rottweiler to join our small Kennel.

I started judging in 1997 starting with Shih Tzus.  Since then I have judged in many countries including Australia, America, Slovenia, Sweden, Croatia, Italy, Estonia, Portugal, Russia, Poland, Norway, Finland, San Marino, South Africa, Belgium, Lithuania, and Denmark.

I am currently passed by the Irish Kennel Club to judge Groups 1,2,5,6,9, and 10 as well as Best In Show and Junior Handling.

Diane Stewart-RitchieMrs Dianne Stewart-Ritchie (Ireland)

I have been involved with dogs all my life. My parents showed Irish Setters when I was very young and of course, naturally I was involved from the earliest days, eventually competing in Child Handling aged around 8 years old.

My profession too eventually brought about my love of working dogs, from German Shepherd multi-purpose dogs, right through to working Labradors, Springers, Malinois etc. I suppose its right to say I have had a very full life totally encompassing dogs at the fore front.

Irish Setters are my passion and together with my husband, Alec, we have brought our kennel of Gwendariff Irish Setters to many lovely wins along the UK and Irish dog show scenes. Achievements we have attained include.

Top Dog All Breeds, multiple Best In Shows at Championship Shows, Groups and Specialty Best In Shows. We
have been the Top Breeder in the UK of Irish Setters for 17 years, as well as achieving the coveted title of UK Top
Breeder All Breeds in 2021 and again in 2022.

Recently we were proud to win the peoples vote in the acclaimed Pawscars Awards for Top UK Breeder 2022.
We have achieved well over 260 CCs in Irish Setters alone and of course have owned or bred over 30 UK
Champions as well as so many in Ireland and other International title winners.

We have been most fortunate, and delight in seeing others win with our dogs at the highest level. Although we
have had quite a few Crufts CC winners our highest accolade must be our Group 1 Crufts winner of 2020.
I am equally proud to have achieved champions too in Whippets, Hungarian Vizsla and Weimaraner.

I am an FCI Best In Show judge, also approved for all breeds in Groups 1, 6, 7, 8, 10 and part of Group 3.
I have been very fortunate to have judged extensively throughout Europe including Scandinavia and Russia, as
well as Pakistan and South Africa. This will be my second visit to Australia.

I enjoy all aspects of our dog showing hobby and to judge others dogs, I feel, is a huge responsibility and
privilege. My thanks to your committee for this invitation to officiate, I’m very much looking forward to this
return visit to Australia and the opportunity to judge your lovely dogs.

Mrs Kirsten Price (New Zealand)

I have been involved in dog showing and breeding since I was a baby and attended my first dog show at 6 weeks of age.  My mother bred and worked Labradors along with showing and owning a Dachshund, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, English Setters and Pointers amongst others.  There has always been a dog in the house.

In 1988 I got my first Golden Retriever and thus began my involvement with this lovely breed. My initial involvement was showing my much loved pet and as I grew older and had the space the numbers increased, although I always strive to keep numbers very low and give the dogs the best life I can as I work full time as a Secondary School Art Teacher.

I have been fortunate to have owned, shown and bred some exceptional Golden Retrievers and Pointers and strive to breed and show healthy, sound dogs that are typical of their breeds and been a committee member of the East Coast Gundog Show Society, Wairarapa Kennel Association and the Central Golden Retriever Club and have been involved in all aspects of show management including stewarding.

I have always had an interest in assessing livestock and begun my judging journey 8 years ago and have judged at Open Shows and Ribbon Parades in both islands of New Zealand and Australia.

Pamela CampbellMrs Pamela Campbell (Western Australia)

I am a long term hound exhibitor and breeder.

My first breed interests were Basset Hound, Beagle and Dobermann until 1989 when a whippet joined the household.  Whippets have been my passion since then.

Harroway whippets have enjoyed success over the last 34 years, with more than 40 Champions, Supreme Champions, Hound Group winners and Best Exhibit In Show winners.  I remain an active exhibitor and a conservative breeder.

Judging since 1991, I qualified for All Breeds status in 2008, and judging assignments have included Specialty and All Breeds appointments in all Australian States, New Zealand, Denmark, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, China and Singapore.

As a strong advocate of the pure bred dog I enjoy the privilege and challenge of judging.

I am President of Dogs West since 2016 and am Vice President of Dogs Australia.

It is a privilege to be a judging panel member for Canberra Royal.
